FAQ

Welcome to the FAQ, here you can read frequently asked questions and answers you can also ask a question.

  • Does the Food Safety Interactive programme meet the latest Food Safety legislation?

Yes - The food safety laws were updated in 2006 and our programme has incorporated all these changes.
It meets the latest training material requirements for the Royal Institute of Public Health's current Level 1 qualification "Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene" and the "Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering" formally known as Basic Food Hygiene.

  • Is the Food Safety Interactive recognised by an official body?

The Food Safety Interactive has been awarded a certificate of Quality & Merit by the Royal Institute of Public Health (RIPH)2007.

And recently all our programmes have been endorsed for The Society of Food Hygiene and Technology.(SOFHT)

By law food handlers have to have training commensurate with their duties, and managers of establishments need to be able to demonstrate that this has occurred. The certificate produced on successful completion of the programme demonstrates this very clearly.

  • What is the difference between a Broadband version and an Offline version?

Although they both look the same on the screen and operate the same way the Broadband version incorporates a password protected Learning Management System controlled by the customer. Here you can register and monitor staff use and request certificates for successful candiates.
The offline version is designed for those without an internet connection or with only limited access and relies on staff completing the training on one computer. Each candidate is issued with a unique username and password to access the programme. Once training and tests are completed successfully certificates may be requested.
