Yes - The food safety laws were updated in 2006 and our programme has incorporated all these changes.
It meets the latest training material requirements for the Royal Institute of Public Health's current Level 1 qualification "Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene" and the "Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering" formally known as Basic Food Hygiene.
All our programmes have been endorsed for The Society of Food Hygiene and Technology (SOFHT)
The Food Safety Interactive is accredited by the NCFE - a qualification awarding body
We are also a registered training centre with the ROYAL INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC HEALTH (RIPH)
By law food handlers have to have training commensurate with their duties, and managers of establishments need to be able to demonstrate that this has occurred. The certificate produced on successful completion of the programme demonstrates this very clearly.
> No expensive tutor costs
> No losing staff for a day - all training carried out on company premises
> No travelling/meal expenses
> Training delivered in "bite-size chunks" around shifts
> No additional staff costs
> No additional costs for refresher training
The programme is available as an offline version for customers without access to the internet. It is especially popular in the more remote areas of both the UK and overseas.
We are able to deliver in-house traditional classroom based training in Food Safety. Have a look at our RIPH registered training centre page for details.
We are able to translate the programme into almost any language if there are sufficient numbers to make it viable.
We are currently developing a Portuguese version for release later this year
If there are any changes to the Food Safety Law you will be notified. Once we have made the necessary alterations you will be offered an upgrade.
Although they both look the same on the screen and operate the same way the Broadband version incorporates a password protected Learning Management System controlled by the customer. Here you can register and monitor staff use and request certificates for successful candiates.
The offline version is designed for those without an internet connection or with only limited access and relies on staff completing the training on one computer. Each candidate is issued with a unique username and password to access the programme. Once training and tests are completed successfully certificates may be requested.
