Relevant, helpful and engaging interactive programmes. Students like the interactive approach and are able to maintain focus and concentration. Activities are varied, challenging and designed to suit different learning styles. Students particularly like the end of unit module tests. Raises aspirations and gives them a real sense of achievement, fosters a positive attitude - once they get the hang of it they all aim for 100%. Feedback is immediate which is a real plus.
Material is very relevant to student needs. Both programmes provide an excellent overview of the subject areas and good value.
We use the FNHE course to compliment our BTEC level 2 and 3 Health and Social Care courses and promote independent learning. Provides a valuable introduction to level 3, especially for students whose knowledge of food and diet is limited. Once signed on we often find students completing in their own time and in competition with each other!
Food Safety is also offered as part of the level 2 course - students have realised this has the added bonus of being a recognised workplace qualification which they can use to help secure part time jobs. Such is our success here that, responding to student demand the course is now offered to Post 16 students as part of our enrichment programme and to other students (those not taking H/S Care courses) in our extension studies programme.
As a teacher I find the relevance of the material to syllabus content priceless. It provides students with the opportunity to consolidate their work in a fun and different way. They really enjoy the activities offered - in conclusion these programmes are great.

Ours is a small company, employing less than 50 staff, with an urgent need for Basic Food Hygiene. I inherited a system where staff would be taken off the floor en-masse, totally disrupting production. With the CLS system we can train one member of staff at a time, at any hour of the day, (or night) which fits in perfectly with our systems.
The Polish version also covers our training needs in this area very well. At our recent BRC audit we received an ‘A’ grade for the first time, no small thanks to our ability to demonstrate regular and consistent Food Hygiene training in more than one language.

I would just like to say how engaging and thoroughly comprehensive your interactive food safety course was. It is arguably the best such course I have ever run in many years of teaching and all of the staff who participated found it to be intelligently constructed and extremely accessible. The use of the interactive questions throughout was particularly good at reinforcing learning objectives and was reflected in the overall awareness shown by each candidate since completing the course. Each continues to regale me with facts on food hygiene on an ongoing basis, very annoying, but which demonstrates the effectiveness of your model.
Thank you, we will of course avail ourselves of your future products which I am sure will be of the same quality.

“South Devon Healthcare Trust has been using the Food Hygiene CD Rom for over 5 years, ensuring that Catering and Domestic staff continually receive appropriate training. The CD Rom is used for both first time training and also as refresher training, and since its implementation with the Trust has expanded into use by Nursing, Medical Staff and others….
The success of the CD Rom is due to its being the perfect medium for staff who have limited time. It allows staff to undertake the course at convenient times during their shifts and can be completed at their pace, without the time constraints and pressures which are often associated with other forms of training.
Staff find the format and delivery easy, understandable and interesting, resulting in extremely high first time pass rates. This helps to instil confidence in operatives with little or no previous training in this area. I would therefore have no hesitation in recommending the training package to anyone needing to provide this type of training.”
Malcolm Batt, Assistant Director of Facilities, South Devon Healthcare NHS Trust
